Mazel Tov Rachel & Andrew on your marriage

Andrew & Rachel's Wedding invitation. Take a look at the top two lines.

I have received many wedding invitations, there’s only one that sits framed in my office. It reads “with gratitude to Hashem Yitbarech and Rabbi Yisroel Bernath...”

Andrew & Rachel hand delivered it to me, as I read it my heart swelled with emotion... fast forward to tonight, If Hashem has guided me to this moment... dayenu!

There is no greater joy in my heart that to give the two of you a blessing from the depths of my heart.

Andrew and Rachel's story is a testament to the wonderful, sometimes surprising, nature of love. Andrew, a Canadian with the refined charm of a British gentleman, set out from Calgary with a mission—to find a wife. His journey led him to Rachel, a spirited British woman who captured his heart in the most unexpected way.

Their first date could have been straight out of a romantic comedy. Andrew, believing the date was a flop, watched as Rachel dashed off on her Vespa. Ever since, she has been known affectionately as "Vespa Girl." But as destiny would have it, what seemed like a misadventure turned into the beginning of a beautiful love story.

Rachel, with her warmth and devotion, is the heart of her family, always in touch with her six siblings, whether on the phone or eagerly awaiting their calls. Andrew, with his keen sense of humor and deep empathy, has seamlessly integrated into this lively family dynamic, proving himself to be not just a listener, but a true companion.

Despite Rachel's claims of not being adventurous, Andrew sees her spirit and bravery, especially as evidenced on their fourth date. Andrew, ever the gentleman, took Rachel to the opera shortly after she had eye surgery. She couldn't see a thing, making it, quite literally, a blind date. I believe this charming anecdote highlights the humor, love, and mutual support that define their relationship.

Marriage is far more than a partnership; it is a sacred covenant where two souls unite to become one. It is a journey of mutual growth, support, and endless discovery.

Andrew & Rachel

Andrew and Rachel, your bond exemplifies this divine connection.

Love is not merely about finding the right person, but about being the right person. It is about giving, understanding, and supporting each other through life's myriad challenges and triumphs. Andrew and Rachel, you have already demonstrated these qualities in abundance.

Your union is the harmonious blend of two unique individuals, each bringing their strengths and virtues to create something greater than the sum of its parts.

Andrew's comedic genius and Rachel's quick wit ensure that laughter will always be a cornerstone of your home. But beyond the humor, there is a profound love and respect that will carry you through life's journey.

Sara and I share this fervent prayer that your marriage remains strong and harmonious, filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. May you build a home among the Jewish people, committed to Torah and mitzvot, and may we soon hear in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem the joyous sounds of brides and grooms with the coming of Moshiach, speedily in our days.

Amen.

Mazal Tov, Andrew and Rachel! L'chaim!
